Fees

Sydney Perinatal Doctors is a private billing service. Home visits and other face-to-face appointments attract Medicare rebates. Some Telehealth services will attract a rebate, depending on your eligibility.

Scheduled childhood vaccinations are bulk billed with both Dr Angela and Dr Sarah. Fees vary across both practices.

Please register for the Medicare Safety Nets as soon as possible, if you have not already done so, as this can significantly lower your out-of-pocket costs.

Both fees and Medicare rebates are based on time, complexity and number of patients. Therefore your fee or rebate may vary if the consult take less time or more time, or when more than one patient is involved.

Medicare Rebates for Telehealth

At the moment, Medicare Rebates for Telehealth are only available to the following patients:

  • A patient who has had a face-to-face visit with a medical practice in the past 12 months (please note that, due to Medicare rules, being seen by one of our doctors does not confer eligibility for rebate from the other)

  • A baby under the age of 12 months

  • Someone who currently has COVID-19

Medicare Safety Nets

If you have a lot of medical expenses across the year (such as when you are pregnant!), you can register for the Extended Medicare Safety Net. Once you have reached a certain threshold as an individual or a family, Medicare will then start to rebate you up to 80% of your out-of-pocket costs on top of the standard rebate.
